Curriculum

Our Curriculum

The school’s curriculum is the term we use for the entire planned learning experience given to our pupils. The statutory National Curriculum forms part of this experience, and we design our curriculum carefully to ensure that it provides opportunities for pupils to become enterprising, healthy, confident individuals, and to prepare them to contribute actively to their local and wider communities. We recognise the need for pupils to experience a rich range of opportunities to excel, and therefore offer provision such as specialist music teaching and specialist forest school teaching to children across the school. We recognise that children learn best through memorable, first hand experiences. We achieve this through a range of visits and experiences, which enhance children's learning. In all curriculum planning, we make sure that essential transferable skills: literacy, numeracy and computing are applied and strengthened.

For more detail and information, knowledge organisers can be found on the class pages under documents.
