Headteacher's Welcome

Headteacher's Welcome

We are proud to be a nurturing and inclusive community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. Guided by our Christian vision, 'Together we grow and flourish with hope' (Psalm 1:3), we strive to create an environment where children develop academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

At the heart of all we do are our core values of Kindness, Respect and Resilience. These values shape our relationships, guide our decisions and help our children become compassionate, confident and responsible members of society. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish, celebrating their unique gifts while supporting them to overcome challenges with courage and determination.

Spirituality is woven throughout school life. We encourage our children to wonder, reflect, question and appreciate the world around them, developing a deeper understanding of themselves, others and the wider world. Through collective worship, our curriculum and everyday experiences, children are inspired to grow in character, empathy and hope.

We have high expectations for every child and are committed to providing a rich, engaging curriculum that inspires curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. Working in partnership with parents, carers, governors, our church and the wider community, we ensure that our children feel safe, supported and ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Whether you are already part of our school family or are considering joining us, I hope our website gives you a flavour of the caring, vibrant and ambitious community we are so proud of. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing in your child's journey as, together, we grow and flourish with hope.

Mrs Laura Whateley

Nursery

Our Nursery, based and run by staff at Long Marston VA C of E Primary school, has places for 13 full time children for 3-year-olds. Children who turn 3 before 1st September 2025 are eligible to apply. This class is a combined Reception/Nursery class and gives our children the very best start for their journey with us.  Mrs Garner-Veal, our Early Years leader, teaches this class with Mrs Buckley and a team of experienced, passionate support staff. Our curriculum gives our Nursery children the tools they need for school from learning to retell stories with ambitious language to growing their own food; they will love coming here to learn.

If you would like to meet Laura Whateley, our Headteacher, to discuss your child attending our Nursery, or would like a tour of the school, please do get in touch with the office. For more information on the arrangements for 15 and 30-hour funding (which we accept), please see our Nursery Admissions policy.

We look forward to welcoming your precious child on the start of their incredible journey with us.
